Eldorado Guest House & Camping
Eldorado Guest House & Camping is on a large private game and cattle farm in Okaukuejo, just outside Etosha National Park.
Family-owned for generations this place has its own wildlife in enclosures - caracal, leopard, cheetah and hyena.
Wifi is available but can be erratic. But who cares when you’re this close to Etosha.
There are 3 triple and 2 twin guest rooms. There are also 22 campsites.
The guest rooms have been made from old farm buildings. They’re air-conditioned and have partially opened bathrooms with a shower, and tea/coffee facilities. You can book self-catering accommodation too as some units have a kitchenette with a hob, fridge, microwave and toaster.
Camp in the wilderness on grassy sites with shared ablutions (they can be cold), wash up areas and braai facilities. There’s a power point and tap.
Restaurant; swimming pool; free WiFi in public areas; braai; garden; bar; parking; self-service laundry; fireplace in lobby; smoking in designated areas
Eldorado Guest House & Camping offers guided walks to visit their on site game.
They're rescued animals and they're predators. They have to eat meat and meat ain't cheap - that's why they're 'on show' to tourists - paying their way you see. Money raised helps with both food and vet bills.
You can walk to see them or take a tractor ride.
Obviously the main draw of staying here is you have Etosha on your doorstep. The Okaukuejo Waterhole is just shy of 30km away. The Ombika waterhole is even closer - 12km from the farm. A good place to spot giraffe, zebra and lion.
