AfriCamps at Mackers
This is the first Africamp outside the Western Cape. Africamps are working farms and estates run by people with passions for wildlife and a desire to show how their daily life rolls. You’ll learn about farming. The kids will be in freedom heaven. Mackers is a few minutes drive from Hazyview - a small farming town knows for its banana, macadamia and coffee industries.
10 glamping tents. Two bedrooms with Queen sized beds, one with a bunk bed. Maximum of five people. They all face the river, are surrounded by grass and stare at the forest. Sigh. This is boutique camping. Proper furniture, decent bathroom, open plan lounge and private wooden deck. Very stylish. Uber stylish. Excellent kitchens, large showers.
Shared swimming pool; A/C; Wood burning fireplace; Electric blankets; Private braai; Fully equipped kitchen including 4 burner hob and oven; Breakfast available; Dinner is put in the tent for guests to prepare; Complimentary herb garden; Honesty shop; Spa treatments in your tent or in a private area in main property
This is a beautiful place with easy access to beautiful places. The Panorama route and Kruger National Park are only 35 minutes away. You can also visit the Seronera Crocodile Farm and the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre - the largest in South Africa.
If you want to stay put, do it. You’re right next to the Sabie River in the Mpumalanga bush. There are good hiking trails to both the waterfalls and wild rapids.
You can bird watch 250 species or go fishing.
Or just go hammocking. Should be an international sport.

No marble lobby, no crystal chandelier, this place is remote, spectacular and rocks a lot of clay. Admittedly H12 is an odd name. It’s H for the heart of your host and 12 for the number of hours on a clock, months in a year etc. Interpret however you like. It’s art, darling. And H12 Leshiba is about a bed in an art gallery in the mountains in the sky.
Garonga Safari Camp
The Big 5. Safari royalty. They’re here. Enjoying the high life on the Greater Makalali Private Nature Reserve. Makalali means ‘place of rest’ and they’re not kidding. You’ll see the word tent but forget it. These ain’t no scout tepees. These will be nights in white satin, ok it’s linen but man they look good. These are capital L for luxury.
Savanna is a small, intimate and luxurious safari lodge in a private concession inside a private game reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park. It is the epitome of an exclusive luxury African safari.
