We Kebi Safari Lodge

We Kebi, meaning invitation in the language of the San people is a lodge that is welcoming, generous and hospitable. You'll gladly visit again and at such a good value, you sure can. Here's a lodge that offers a whole lot of bang for your buck and as a safari lodge, you're likely to see several varieties of the antelope kind as well. Score!

The lodge, much like its sister lodge, Desert Hills, is built to look like sociable weavers nests or yellow grass huts of the ancient Bushman. The décor a fusion of classic and African safari. Accents of northern Africa with an old school colonial flair and touches of traditional all in one. A modern and indulgent lodge offering an intimate and private experience of the desert landscape.

Well blended into the surrounds, the 12 spacious chalets seem to appear out of nowhere on the horizon as you approach and then there you are, immersed in luxury and quiet. Just off of the main road, although you’d never say it. Each room a sweeping and uninterrupted view out over what truly makes the Namib Desert so special, the solitude.

Spotless. Immaculate. Attention to detail. Everything as it should be, you might find the only thing out of place, the animal skins and busts on the walls - but then again this is part of the ‘safari lodge’ charm.

Great value. Extras as a surprise. Comfortable but elegant and so much more, we’ll leave it up to you to discover.

Facilities

12 chalets; en-suite with shower and/or bath (solar heated); air-conditioning; fire stove (in some rooms); bath robes; coat racks; private veranda

The family chalet is comprised of two en-suite bedrooms with an additional lounge.

The luxury (honeymoon) chalet has a private lounge and coffee & tea facilities.

Dining area; lounge; fire place; boma; heated swimming pool; safe at reception; WiFi at main area; airstrip transfers & laundry service

Activities

Just 70 km from the Sesriem entrance, the gateway to Sossusvlei, this is not the ideal location to visit the dunes, but it’s doable with an early rise and well worth the effort if you do. Either on your own or as a guided excursion.

Game drives; carnivore encounter at Hammerstein Lodge (sister lodge); nature walks, sundowner drives; 4x4 trails.

Scenic flights and hot air balloon safaris also available on request.
